MDS Newsletter #10

Hi All👋

We hope you had a great start to this week. It's Wednesday and we are here with the 10th edition of the MDS newsletter series.

In this edition, we'll take you through this week's featured category - "Data Observability", featured tools - Graphext & Dagster, some useful resources, funding news from data startups, data events, and more. We have also added a few data engineering job roles for you.

Let's dive in!

You might have heard this "Data is the new oil". It's true when all the decisions derived are based on reliable data.

But, as data intake increases, the chances of incomplete, erroneous & missing data increases too which leads to data downtime, a nightmare for data teams!

'Data Observability' or 'Data Quality Monitoring' aims to eliminate downtime to make data more reliable for better decisions.

Here's an amazing article and tweet thread by Molly Vorwerck, Head of Content, Monte Carlo

Here are this week's featured companies from the Modern Data Stack.

Graphext is a no-code data analytics tool for the modern data stack. More powerful than dashboards and more intuitive than notebooks. It helps you to build data science projects remarkably fast, collaboratively, and without writing code.

Dagster is the data orchestration platform built for productivity. It is a data orchestrator for machine learning, analytics, and ETL · Develop and test on your laptop, deploy anywhere.
